Steps to get involved...

1. Join this web-site

   Become a user if you haven't already. Creating an account is done via the controls on the upper-left of this page.

2. Join the NMC Development Mailing List

   Send an email to nmc-dev-request@members.limitless.org with the word "subscribe" in the BODY of the message.

   This will send you a confirmation email back. Respond to it, and you'll be receiving email news in the development group.

   Once you've gotten past the authorization step above, go ahead and send a message saying who you are and what you're interested in doing.

3. Join the NMC Users mailing list

   Send an email to nmc-discussion-request@members.limitless.org with the word "subscribe" in the BODY of the message.

4. Install the current NMC software on your machine and invoke it so you have your own MUCK with you as a Wizard. This software provides a "common baseline" for terminology and references. We'll thus all be able to see what is currently done and what is currently in the help docs.
5. Install the development tools

   See Setting up the build environment for details.

6. Send your SSH public key to Otter (Brian Jones)

   See Setting up SSH if you don't currently use SSH and have an SSH public key.
